Justin Bieber's Instagram Is Still Inactive, But New Facebook Post Sends Love To His Beliebers

Justin Bieber's Instagram is still inactive, but the pop star took a moment earlier today (August 31) to remind his beloved (and sometimes chaotic) fanbase that he hasn't forgotten them.

The 22-year-old posted a photo to his official Facebook page with the caption: "Love you. Just taking a break for me sometimes. See everyone on bbc tonight and tour next month. Thanks."

There has been some debate about whether or not Bieber really runs his social media accounts, but this seems like a genuine message straight from the singer himself.

Yesterday (August 30), Beliebers got their hopes up when Bieber's Instagram resurfaced after being deactivated recently, as Harper's Bazaar reported. Justin Bieber was, rightfully, sick of the hate he was receiving in his comments after he hooked up with gal pal Sofia Richie.

After captioning one selfie with a plea to his fans to stop hating on his friend, his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez got involved. Instigating trolls then took the opportunity to Photoshop another comment from Gomez. In short, a simple request from Bieber evolved into a tangled mess.

So, he deactivated his Instagram. When you think about it, can you really blame him?

When his Instagram showed up again yesterday, Beliebers began celebrating immediately by trending #JustinReactivatedParty. However, their balloons deflated just as quickly when the following tweet went out from Justin Bieber's Twitter account:

Was that cryptic tweet from the man himself? Was his team simply reactivating his Instagram so that it wouldn't be permanently deleted because of inactivity? The world may never know.

Luckily for the Beliebers, they did get one thing they begged for: an Instagram account for Bieber's newest puppy, Todd.

Photos of him have melted hearts around the world over the past few days, and he already runs an account for his other dog, Esther. So, it was only fair that Todd get his fifteen minutes.

He already has 17,000 followers.

As for the mention of BBC in Bieber's Facebook post from earlier today–the "Let Me Love You" singer will be kicking off BBC Radio One's Live Lounge Month tonight.

For those unfamiliar, artists often visit the Live Lounge for stripped-down performances of their own music, as well as unique covers.

Bieber will perform live from his Los Angeles home during the Breakfast Show, which kicks off at 7:45 am GMT tomorrow morning (Sept. 1), as BBC's official site posted.

This may be a bit of a struggle for his U.S. Beliebers, since it means start time for the Eastern time zone is 2:45 am, 1:45 am for the Central time zone, and 11:45 pm for the Pacific time zone.

If Bieber's recent UK performance at V Fest is any indication, this Live Lounge may become a stripped-down Purpose Tour phenomenon. He performed nearly his entire tour set during the summer festival earlier this month.

According to social media, Beliebers are looking forward to hearing "Cold Water," "Let Me Love You," "No Pressure," and "What Do You Mean?" acoustically in the Live Lounge, to name a few.

Other R1 Live Lounge Month performers will include Zara Larsson, OneRepublic, Usher, Clean Bandit, Bastille, The 1975, and Charlie Puth. According to The Independent, there's a rumor that a surprise guest may be performing on September 16.

With or without a Bieber Instagram, at least we have the music. In honor of the upcoming Live Lounge, revisit one of his best performances for BBC below. Back in 2012, he covered "Catching Feelings" from his album Believe.

The Purpose World Tour resumes for the first date of the European leg in Iceland at the Korinn Arena on September 8, 2016.
