Is Jelena over? Justin Bieber continues to hook up with Sofia Richie. But that doesn't mean he's done with Selena Gomez for good.

Bieber is obviously attracted to Richie. But he is still wary about being tied down to one woman. He's never loved anyone as much as he loved Gomez. And he's not sure he's ready to get into another serious relationship.

Justin Bieber is still upset with Selena Gomez for rejecting his advances in March. He tried to get back together with her, but she made it clear she was moving on. Her scathing comments on his recent Instagram post certainly didn't help matters.

So Bieber isn't jumping back into a relationship with Gomez. Instead he's having a good time with Richie. He skipped the MTV Video Music Awards this weekend to enjoy a Mexican vacation with the model. The couple reportedly went ATV riding on Sunday before relaxing on a yacht the following day. They were also photographed engaging in a major makeout session on the beach.

The trip was part of Bieber's romantic celebration of Richie's 18th birthday. He first planned a date night that included candles and roses that he decorated into a heart.

"Sofia was under the weather on her birthday so she really couldn't fully enjoy if but now she is feeling better so they are just spending time with each other," a source told E! News. "Justin treats Sofia really well."

Justin Bieber is still upset that Selena Gomez didn't want to get back together with him.

Still, that doesn't mean Bieber's ready to take things to the next level. "Besides hooking up it all started as really good friends so they have a great foundation," the source added, "They have not discussed titles yet with each other, just taking it slow. Sofia would like to be exclusive and hopes it will lead into that shortly. She has always had something for Justin."

He already messed things up with Gomez and his longtime pal Hailey Baldwin. He doesn't want to get hurt again, and he is trying not to hurt someone else.
