The Biebs has been quite public about his more recent struggle with being a celebrity. His song "I'll Show You" describes his difficulties with Hollywood pressure. He also released a clip of a new song on Instagram a few months ago that addressed his feelings on the topic.

Listen to the lyrics in the post below, where he sings about the difficulties of dealing with fame:

Justin's took another stance last March, to cancel meet and greets on his Purpose World Tour that occur when fans purchase a VIP pass to his concert. His decision was based on the extraordinary pressure of fulfilling fans' high expectations:

"Love u guys.. I'm going to be canceling my meet and greets. I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people's spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy... Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression .. The pressure of meeting people's expectations of what I'm supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Nick Jonas expressed his support for Justin Bieber to do what makes him most comfortable and what keeps him true to himself:

"It's not just Justin who feels this way, I think he's just one of the first ones to be vocal about it. [. . .] For anybody living a public life, there's a certain pressure you can feel to always be 'on' and be in that position where people expect something from you. [. . .] As a performer, you carry a lot of that with you. So I actually do understand it. It's bold of him to make the statements he's made, and I respect that about him."

Jonas was quick to precise that despite sympathizing with Bieber, that he feels very differently in regards to meeting his fans:

"I feel like meeting my fans is an honor for me personally, and they've been so supportive that I want to be as gracious with them as I can be."

Justin has also made a public announcement to fans claiming that he would no longer be taking selfies with them as they make him feel like a "zoo animal." Bieber has compared himself to Amy Winehouse in the sense that fame has him feeling "isolated" and "depressed."

Bieber also expressed his disgust with award shows and how he feels as though his work is being judged and rated as opposed to appreciated and celebrated. He also expressed that the celebrities that attend act all superficial and fake for the cameras.

For us non-celebrities, it is difficult to grasp just how challenging a life in the spotlight is when we spend ours idolizing fame. It is unfair, in many ways, that artists such as actors, performers, or models must relinquish all rights to privacy. People everywhere wish to fulfill their artistic dreams.

However, the pressure of constantly being put on a pedestal and meeting each expectation is unrealistic, unattainable, and unjust. No one should have to rid themselves of normalcy in order to pursue this type of career. Sia is on to something by keeping her identity cloaked from the public eye. Justin, we support you alongside Nick Jonas. Love yourself first, Biebs.

Do you agree with the constant pressure that is instilled upon celebrities?
