A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Chris knows exactly what Justin is going through when it comes to the downsides of fame: "While Chris isn't about the violence, he supports his little bro Justin. Chris knows firsthand how fans can become too aggressive and too in-your-face, and he believes Justin was provoked and forced to defend himself," the insider says. "Being a celebrity isn't all it's cracked up to be. People think they own you and have the right to invade your privacy." It's terrifying that Justin was driven to violence, but Chris clearly knows how JB felt.
However, Chris doesn't think it's cool of Justin to resort to fighting, the source adds. "Chris just wants Justin to quit all the fighting. It's not good for his image and violence is never the answer." Too true!
As we previously knew, Chris isn't the only friend who's concerned that Justin's fighting is bad for both his image and his mental health. "People around Justin are nervous about him and worry that he could have a breakdown," a source told ET. "He feels like people forget that he is a human being and needs privacy." Hang in there, Justin!
