Yesterday, Justin Bieber posted an underwear selfie, and, well, we'll just put that here.

There have been some interesting headlines capturing this special moment, such as "Justin Bieber Grabs His Package in New Mirror Selfie" (Entertainment Tonight), "Justin Bieber Flaunts Crotch-Grabbing Selfie" (Billboard), or "Justin Bieber: You Always Knew I Was a Handful" (TMZ).

It's interesting to think about what the reactions might be like if this was a female celebrity, and by "interesting," I mean "ridiculously infuriating." There is an overriding sexism which allows for this kind of promiscuity in the hands of famous men, whereas a young women posting a similar photo would likely be hung in the court of public opinion.

The other important thing to remember is that the stuff you share online NEVER GOES AWAY. Never. So, regardless of all the theoretical conversations we could have about the sexist double standards at play here, you probably don't want to post something like this where employers (or, in Justin's case, 69.5 million strangers) can see it.
