Selena Gomez Rumored As The Reason Behind Justin Bieber's Face Tattoo

Justin Bieber surprised his followers when got his face inked at West 4^th Tattoo Parlor on Friday, May 6. Speculations surged that the reason  why he did that was because of his former girlfriend, Selena Gomez.

As stated in Hollywood Life, recent reports said that Bieber's friends feared his face tattoo would be the start of his major downward spiral over the situation. Also, the singer was reportedly caught wind of Gomez's PDA with Orlando Bloom in a Vegas club.

The 22-year-old singer posted in Instagram on May 7 a semi-blurry close-up selfie photo. In that semi-inscrutable, sullen shot, a little black speck on the side of his left eye can be noticed. The post immediately left the followers and press into a tailspin, a similar reaction when Zayn Malik appeared to have added ink on his face.

After that, rumors about Selena Gomez as the reason for his act started to spread. However, his tattoo artist told US Weekly that the pop star got the tattoo for a good reason.

Justin Bieber and his close friend, Joe Termini, got a matching cross tattoos just below their left eyes on a Friday night, just before the artist performed a spontaneous mini-concert at Manhattan hotspot Up & Down. He sang his recent hit songs What Do You Mean? and Sorry.

The tattoo artist, Jonathan 'JonBoy' Valena, said that the tattoo represents Justin Bieber's faith. He added saying that it signifies the pop star's journey in finding his purpose with God.

Furthermore, Valena also posted a photo on Instagram with both Termini and Bieber at his tattoo shop on Sunday. The photo obviously features the Canadian crooner's tattoo and also shows that Valena having the same.

Justin Bieber seemed to be happy and confident with his new tattoo, but some of his followers did not seem to like it and still doubted that Selena Gomez is the reason behind it. The singer presently has more than 50 tattoos, including the word "Purpose", a huge cross and a pair of wings on his back.
