Puma has a new sneaker that they gave the spunky name "Defy," and the brand has collaborated with global pop star Selena Gomez to promote the new training shoe. The 25-year-old recently showed off her legs and flat abs in a Puma photoshoot, and she says that she is a fan of the new shoe's name because "To defy is to be brave."
"It's about pushing the envelope and not obeying any "expectations" placed on you by society," explained Gomez. "Puma has captured this feeling perfectly with their new Defy training shoe. I remind myself daily the importance of defying the outside noise and being true to myself."
Gomez wore a neon yellow bralette and nude leggings in one of the pics while leaning against a pillar, and in another, she wore the same outfit while sitting on some stairs with a powder blue Puma backpack sitting next to her.
The shoes also got to steal the spotlight in a photo where each sneaker sat up against a window perpendicular to one another.
Gomez also wore the Defy sneakers to a launch party earlier this month at Paramount Studios, and she showed up in Puma's Insta Stories while at the event and told the camera how much fun she was having.
The singer said that it was a "cool experience," and she hopes her fans like the new shoe. Gomez finished up by saying that she loves the Defy training shoe and she is proud of the new product.
Meanwhile, Gomez has been in the middle of possible romance rumors with 46-year-old Justin Theroux, who just split from Jennifer Aniston in February.
Theroux is friends with Gomez's best friend Petra Collins, so that could be how they have gotten to know each other better. And, there were also speculation that Collins and Theroux dated after he and Aniston announced their divorce.
Rumors have also swirled that Theroux started texting Gomez after she broke up with Justin Bieber, and sources say that it has been an "open secret" that Theroux has had a thing for Gomez ever since he and Aniston hung out with her.

Tabloids have also reported that Theroux and Gomez leaned on each other for emotional support after their breakups, but it turned into something more than friendship. There are also rumors that Aniston is upset over the stories about her ex and her friend, and a source claimed that thinking about Justin Theroux with someone so young who she has a personal relationship with is painful for Aniston.
