Yodel Boy to give encore to his Coachella performance at Stagecoach

CLOSE

From art to fashion and more, Coachella is about quirks and standing out.

Yodel-a-e-oo!

Mason Ramsey, the 11-year-old Walmart Yodel Boy who was a sensation at last week's Coachella, has announced he's returning to Indio next week as a country performer at the Stagecoach festival.

He posted a photo on Twitter Friday, showing him smiling and wearing his trademark white cowboy hat and red bow tie, with the caption, "When you find out you're performing at Stagecoach next weekend."

PLAN YOUR FEST: Stagecoach set times: Find out when Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line are performing
VIRAL: 'Yodel Kid' makes his first Coachella appearance with L.A. producer Whethan
WINDS: 'Walmart-chella' ends, Coachella Weekend 2 begins
OPINIONATED: Coachella Weekend 2 is better than Weekend 1 and here's why

Ramsey became an Internet star when he was captured yodeling Hank Williams' first hit, "Homesick Blues," at his home-town Walmart in Illinois. He continued to chalk up viral online numbers at Coachella. He appeared in the Sahara tent – Coachella's primary home for electronic music – during a set by 18-year-old Los Angeles producer Whethan last Friday afternoon. Whethan introduced him by saying he needed no introduction and the wild fan reaction indicated he was right.

Justin Bieber was among his Twitter fans in the crowd, cheering him on, and afterwards, Time.com reported Bieber talked to him after the show.

Ramsey isn't listed on the Stagecoach poster, but the festival's Twitter account re-tweeted Ramsey's post. That means he could perform on a stage like the HonkyTonk Dance Hall or the Half-Pint Hootenanny.
