WATCH: Internet-famous 'yodeling kid' performs at Coachella

(KUTV) — A boy who became internet-famous for yodeling in a Walmart performed at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California Saturday evening.

A woman tweeted on Friday that she was seated behind the "yodeling kid," as he has been nicknamed.

"My friend's on a plane to Coachella with the yodel kid," a user tweeted. Little did she knew at the time — her friend and the yodeling kid, whose name is really Mason Ramsey, were actually going to the same place.

When Ramsey came out on stage, the audience roared with applause and cheers.

American DJ and music producer Whetahn was responsible for bringing Ramsey to Coachella to perform.

In a tweet showing an image with Whethan and Ramsay, he said, "Supposed to be playing his school talent show, but took him to Coachella instead."

World famous singer and songwriter Justin Bieber was spotted by a Twitter user in the audience, smiling and enjoying Ramsey's performance.

"Justin Bieber really went to see the yodeling boy from Walmart at Coachella," she wrote. "I've seen it all."

Ramsey met Bieber backstage prior to his performance.

"I'm so proud of you," Bieber told Ramsey. "That's so awesome."

The two spoke for amiably for a couple of minutes before posing for a selfie together.

Twitter erupted after video of Ramsey's performance began to circulate online.

Some Twitter users reflected on how fast Ramsey rocketed to fame.

Some criticized Coachella for allowing Ramsey to perform.

Warning: A number of tweets contain language that some may find offensive.

One Twitter user said, "It's all fun and games until Walmart yodeling kid calls somebody a [racial slur]," presumably because he has a southern accent.

Ramsey himself responded, saying, "Nope, I wouldn't."

Many Twitter users then began to proclaim that the yodeling kid has ended racism.
