Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez remain on a break but Entertainment Tonight's latest update on the two makes it clear they are on good terms.

Entertainment Tonight was the sole outlet to report that Jelena was still on when People, Us Weekly, and E! reported they were on a break, so their Jelena exclusives are generally rosier. Still, a source told the outlet today that yes, Jelena reunited at church last night and left separately, but it wasn't weird. "They were at church last night, they didn't arrive or leave together, but they were very friendly and civil," the source said. "They're still very close. It's not awkward between them at all."

The timing is just off, and both Bieber and Gomez understand that. "He loves her so much, but they both know a serious relationship right now is just too much to take on," the source continued. "It's been a weird few weeks for Selena. She's tired of taking on other people's dramas and just wants to continue focusing on herself and going to church is a big part of that. She knows the paps will be there and make a whole thing of her and Justin having a 'run-in,' but it's not like that, they're fine."

Their friends also have no clue what's going on or how to deal with it, the source said. "Everyone's always guessing, 'Are they or aren't they [together]?' They've had a very volatile relationship in the past, so everyone is bracing themselves for it to turn south again, but so far it's been fine."

Gomez and Bieber's break started at the beginning of March. Since then, Gomez's last ex, The Weeknd, released a 6-track breakup album mostly about her where it seemed clear he may not be fully over their 10-month relationship.

Bieber, meanwhile, was photographed going to SoulCycle with Baskin Champion, his latest rumored fling, this morning.
