Mandy Teefey and her daughter, Selena Gomez, have not been on the same page since she broke up with The Weeknd to get back with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber. Her mom has not minced words when it came to publicly speaking about her feelings towards the singer.
However, things seem to be taking a turn for the better after Teefey posted a sweet tribute to the star via Instagram.
In a new post that screenshotted an interview Selena had discussing "13 Reasons Why," the producer calls Gomez a positive influence.
The statement read: "@selenagomez & @katherinelangford #13RY The ladies that could! One from Grand Prairie, One from Perth! Both discovered from worldwide searches for roles that changed their path to have powerful positive influences on the future. Amazing to witness this from Day 1!!! Congrats."
"13RW" is a project that both Teefey and Gomez have a part in making. The Netflix series based on a book made waves, some positive and some negative, when it hit the streaming site last year. The second season is at the end of production.
The show is also how Selena and Mandy reunited after parting ways in 2014 due to a falling out.
Those problems arose once again when Selena went back to Justin Bieber who Mandy feels is a bad influence no matter how much he tried to convince the public that he's changed.
Mandy made her feelings clear about Justin when she said she was "not happy" that they were back together; however, Selena is an adult who can live her life the way she wants to.
The mother of two also addressed the controversy surrounding the actress taking a role in a Woody Allen movie.
Teefey stated: "I had a long talk with her about not working with him and it didn't click. Her team are amazing people. There is no fall person here. No one controls her. She makes all her own decisions. No matter how hard you try to advise. It falls on deaf ears."
That diss was less than a month ago so fans are wondering what could've made Mandy have a change of heart.
It could be that Selena was admitted to a rehab program at the end of January. Any parent worries about their child when they aren't feeling good both mentally and physically.

Hopefully, the mother and daughter can set aside their differences for good.
