As the insider explained, Bieber was well-aware of Gomez's busy schedule in the coming weeks but didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to treat her to a romantic vacation in honor of the Valentine's Day holiday.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez might or might not be together come Valentine's Day this week - but at least they have each other for right now.
On Feb. 11, TMZ shared video footage of the couple at the hotel, revealing that they had been sitting beside one another on a couple of lounge chairs before getting up and taking a stroll.
The "Wolves" singer - who has spoken publicly about her mental health issues, including anxiety and depression - was reported to have spent two weeks at the Privé-Swiss rehab facility in CT last month.
And after Justin, 23, whisked her off on a romantic getaway to Laguna Beach, it has been claimed he's doing his best to support her in her recovery. While they looked to be in the midst of a "serious talk", the source added that they "seemed happy together". He was being very tender and attentive ... a sweet, supportive boyfriend'. It was a cloudy day, [so] they didn't spend too much time outside.
The 'Bad Liar' hitmaker first checked into rehab at Arizona's Dawn at the Meadows facility in 2014.
'She is 25 years old and knows what is at stake with her health.
She told the media outlet that Selena's legacy is important to her since she is also of Mexican heritage. "Justin has left L.A. for some fun on a spiritual retreat, and he is hoping Selena will join him for a pre-Valentine's vacation together", said a source to HollywoodLife.com.
Gomez recently shared with Harper's Bazaar that her top priority for this year is to keep a close and watchful eye on her health - after having undergone a kidney transplant due to her lupus condition. "Selena is an adult and can make her own choices".
