Since Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber rekindled their romance late last year, it's no secret that Sel's relationship with her mum, Mandy Teefey, has been ~complicated~ .
Just last month Mandy was hospitalised because of Justin Bieber drama with Sel (but dw, she's doing okay now). Since then, Sel has also unfollowed her mum on Instagram and, strangely, made a throwback pic of Mandy the profile picture for her account.
Now Mandy has finally broken her silence about Sel and Justin's relationship to the world and we're all ears.

In an interview with Gossip Cop, Mandy confirms that she did not speak with Bieber during Gomez's battle with lupus, adding that they haven't even texted "years." Mandy went on to say that she is "not happy" with the pair getting back together but acknowledges, "Selena can live her life however she wants as long as she is happy, safe and healthy."
"Every mother and daughter has disagreements," Teefey continues, adding that together with Selena's father, she "never expected to manage her whole life. We lost family time because the only time we saw her, we talked business."
"It was no longer fun for any of us, like it was when she was younger and we had to be with her because she was a minor."
"She is 25 years old and knows what is at stake with her health. I do not control her the way it has been portrayed." Teefy further tells Gossip Cop point-blank, "Selena is an adult and can make her own choices."
Mandy went on to describe her daughter as "brave and fearless" in her battle with Lupus. "When you are young, you feel invincible and she had to learn that she was not able to be your typical 20 year old." Teefey says they were "beyond blessed that we had Francia in our life."
