Selena Gomez's mum breaks silence about daughter's romance with Justin Bieber

Selena's mum, Mandy Teefey, has now opened to Gossip Cop about watching her daughter grow up and the return of Justin Bieber.

Selena, 25, revealed previous year her kidneys were shutting down due to her battle with lupus and praised her best friend, Francia Raisa, for saving her life.

I don't really restrain her how it's been portrayed.

That being said, Teefey knows that her "Wolves" singer daughter is old enough to make her own decisions, even if mom doesn't quite approve.

"Every mother and daughter has disagreements", Teefey continues, adding that together with Selena's father, she "never expected to manage her whole life".

She went on to describe Selena as "brave and fearless", and added, "I was so proud of her bravery".

Rumour has it that the Gomez family feel that Bieber was such a destructive presence in her life, he was the main reason Gomez checked into rehab for emotional issues in 2016.

It's not just Justin that Mandy is talking about, either; the former momager talked a bit about Selena's recent kidney transplant, and also revealed that things are significantly better between her and Selena now that Mandy and her husband are no longer managing their daughter's career. We lost family time because the only time we saw her, we talked business.

'They fell out over Selena allowing Justin to be back into her life again, and as far as Selena's concerned, her relationship with Justin's not up for debate, so either her mother needs to accept it, or butt out.

However, Bieber's inner circle told Us Weekly that he was determined to show her loved ones he had matured.

Mandy also praised her daughter after she underwent a secret kidney transplant a year ago (17), following her battle with lupus.

She then quipped: 'I am pretty sure I am banned from that hospital [now]'.
