U2 made the most money of all bands in the world on tour in 2017 with Joshua Tree selling 2.71 million tickets worth $316m according to concert industry publication Pollstar.
It is no wonder that in May 2018 they will begin another tour the U2 EXPERIENCE + INNOCENCE TOUR in Oklahoma May 2018 and fans will get a copy of the new album Songs of Experience when they purchase a ticket.
The next band to clean up on tour was Guns N' Roseswho sold 2.68m tickets and made $292.5m.
Coldplay amassed $238m.
American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars tour earned him $200m making him the highest earning solo act on tour in 2017.
Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande featured in the top 20 but did not come close to the older bands who seem to be able to pull in the crowds.
Celine Dion featured at number 11 making her the highest earning female on tour in 2017.
