Selena Gomez's Mom Reportedly Hospitalized After Fighting About Justin Bieber

It's probably safe to say that Selena Gomez's mom isn't on #TeamJelena.

According to TMZ, Selena's mother Mandy Teefy was hospitalized after having a "heated conversation" with Selena about her recent reconciliation with on again/off again boyfriend Justin Bieber. Law enforcement officials informed TMZ that, last week, a family member requested they do a welfare check on Selena's mom, who was staying at a hotel in L.A. at the time. After authorities arrived, Teefy was voluntarily taken to a local hospital to get checked out.

According to TMZ's sources, Teefy flipped out after learning that Selena and Justin were in couple's therapy and, presumably, taking their relationship a lot more seriously than she thought.

Teefy was released from the hospital the same day, and TMZ says she's giving her daughter space to figure things out. Still, it's a safe guess that she's probably crossing her fingers that what Selena does want isn't actually Justin; according to a recent report from People, Selena's family is super against Jelena being a thing, so much so that the Biebs isn't invited to any of their holiday festivities this year.

"Justin's family always loved Selena, but Selena's family is still not happy about her seeing Justin," said People's source. "Selena doesn't bring Justin to any family events. Selena is spending Christmas with her family. As of now, Justin is not invited."

Harsh. There's still New Year's Eve, though. Maybe they'll just have to fire up the ol' private jet for another impromptu couples getaway like they did this past weekend.
