As if things weren't getting serious enough for Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez lately anyways… it sounds like mom has given the official seal of approval!
Pattie Mallette, Justin's mom, was out at a benefit luncheon on Saturday in El Lay when she spoke to a People reporter about her son's now nearly eight-year on-and-off relationship with Selena.

Talking about the pair's relationship and her own relationship with Selena, Pattie was all positives, saying this about her son's squeeze (below):
"I don't know so much about their personal relationship because he doesn't share a whole lot, but I love her. I support anything [he does], if he loves her I love her, and I've met her and we have a special bond so I think she's precious. I can't really speak on their relationship, that's between them."
Awww!!
Even beyond her love for Selena, it's clear that Justin is growing up based on what Pattie said about him on his own, too — from church to life to better dealing with his fame, Justin is growing up.
Pattie continued (below):
"I think he's just keeping his focus on God, and really trying to figure out what counts and what matters. I think he's trying to be somehow normal in such an abnormal world, trying to find that balance. I feel like he's growing up and I'm really proud of him."
