Jelena fans had their dreams come true earlier this fall when it sure seemed like Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were on the road to getting back together. In the weeks that followed, the pair was spotted kissing (in matching outfits no less), and having multiple date nights together. And some fans even think that a proposal might be in the near future for the two pop stars — although neither of them have confirmed that anything of the sort is in the works.
However, if Justin does end up popping the question to Selena, it seems as though his mom would likely be on board. Pattie Mallette recently opened up to People, revealing that Selena totally has her seal of approval.
Pattie spoke with the outlet at the Justice Speaks Holiday Benefit Luncheon in L.A. on Saturday (December 9), where she was the keynote speaker. She noted that she doesn't know a lot about their personal relationship, because Justin doesn't share a lot of details with her, but she "loves" Selena. "I support anything [Justin does]; if he loves her I love her," Justin's mom said, adding: "I've met her and we have a special bond so I think she's precious."
She went on to explain that Justin has really grown up a lot in recent years, noting that "he's just keeping his focus on God, and really trying to figure out what counts and what matters." It remains to be seen what exactly is in store for Selena and Justin, but it sure seems like both of them are pretty happy lately — and that's definitely the most important thing.
