It looks like this year has been transformative for Justin Bieber and the singer has a lot to be thankful for. With that in mind, Bieber took to social media to show his gratitude towards the person who played the biggest role in radically changing his life – church leader Josh Mehl.
The performer posted a photo featuring him and Mehl on Instagram, captioning it: 'I've learned so much from you. I am a better man because of you. I am a better friend because of you. You have been a true example of what following Jesus looks like and I am so grateful I get to walk through this life knowing you!'
As fans may remember, the touching message comes following the backlash Justin received after canceling the last part of his Purpose tour last summer.
Back in August, Bieber addressed his decision on social media, explaining that aside from wanting to have a 'sustainable' career, he also wanted to have a sustainable 'heart and soul.'
'So I can be the man I want to be, the husband I eventually want to be and the father I want to be,' Bieber added without expecting anyone to understand but feeling like he needed to talk about it.
That being said, it looks like the previously problematic star is keeping his promise and becoming the sort of man he wants to be.
He has started by rekindling his friendship with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
The two were seen hanging together this past weekend.
An insider assured us that the exes are not back together.

'Justin and Selena are just friends right now. They reconnected and, right now, Justin wants to be a good friend to her. At least for now, it is a friendship,' the spy stated.
