Subscribers of Smart Communications, which is presenting the Justin Bieber concert on Sept. 30 at the Philippine Arena, had first dibs, along with the Beliebers Fan Club, to a presale of tickets a few days ago. A total of 10,000 tickets were snapped up by the Smart subscribers, the concert's promoter, MMI, told Inquirer.
A separate advance selling of tickets for the general public is scheduled from 10 a.m. onward today, July 9.
Meanwhile, the management of the concert's venue, the 55,000-capacity Philippine Arena, has announced that preparations are underway, especially ample parking, at the 80-hectare compound.
It promises to have an improved traffic system via three entrance and exit points: NLEX, Duhat and Sta. Maria.
There will be 1,000 traffic enforcers patrolling the grounds and PNP/LGU officers present inside and outside the venue.
Before showtime, Bieber fans are encouraged to enjoy biking, Zumba classes, inflatables, Kids Zone, and local live band performances, as well as food stalls and a bazaar within the premises.
The Philippine Arena has also contracted the services of 50 Point-to-Point (P2P) shuttle buses for concert-goers coming from different locations. Bus schedule and pickup points will follow.
And since the Philippine Arena is quite a distance for Metro Manila residents, there are more than 400 housing units within the property available for a Bieber staycation. For reservations, visit philippinearena.net, or Official Philippine Arena on Facebook, or contact 09179372870.
Tickets available at all SM Tickets outlets. Visit www.smtickets.com or call 4702222.

Free dish at Gerry's Grill
If you're on a night out and looking for a place to dine, drink or just a nightcap, one of the most reliable is Gerry's Grill on Morato Ave. corner Eugenio Lopez St. across ABS-CBN.
The menu has a wide variety of choices, foremost is its specialty grilled seafood like tuna, blue marlin and squid, as well as pork barbecue.
The usual drink of choice of regulars is beer, though I have recently enjoyed the Fundador, even as its liquor list is quite limited.
But the best thing is that it closes as late as 2 a.m.
The whole Gerry's Grill chain is, by the way, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and there are special offers like a free dish for a specified amount of purchase.
