Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber will be at the Principality Stadium on Friday 30th June meaning there could be disruption to travel in Cardiff.

Gates open to ticketed fans at 4pm - and with 40 000 people expected to be in the city, there will be a small road closure pre-event with Westgate Street, Park Street and Scott Road closing at 6pm - with the ability to expand the road closures if deemed necessary on safety grounds.

After the event, as people leave the stadium, the road closures will be extended to cover parts of Cowbridge Road East, Castle Street, Duke Street and Wood Street.

Arriva Trains Wales is advising all customers that Cardiff Queen Street Station will close at 9.45pm and there will be a post event queuing system at Cardiff Central. There will be limited extra services after the concert and customers are advised to return directly to Cardiff Central afterwards.

Principality Stadium has issued new policies on bringing bags into the stadium, as well as information on prohibited items and body searches. Only small bags, no larger than 35cm x40cm x19cm will be allowed into the stadium.

Cardiff Council says those travelling by car are being strongly advised to use the Event Park & Ride Facility at Cardiff City Stadium in Leckwith.

The following roads will be closed between 6pm and 11.30pm:
- Westgate Street
- Park Street
- Scott Road
On safety grounds, if it is required, the council is able to close Wood Street, Lower St Mary's Street, with a lane closure on Cowbridge Road East adjacent to Gate 1.

After the event between 10.30pm and 11.30pm, the additional road closures will be:
- Cowbridge Road East from its junction with Cathedral Road to its junction with Westgate Street
- Castle Street, Duke Street and Wood Street

Those that live locally in Cardiff are being advised to travel by bike or walk.

Event-day parking will be available at Sophia Gardens and will cost £15 in cash on the day. No pre-booking is available. The car park will be staffed until 11.30pm. To get to Sophia Gardens exit the M4 via junction 32.

Access to the Civic Centre will be controlled, with access allowed only for event-day parking, loading and access to private car parks. The roads affected include, King Edward V11 Avenue, Museum Avenue, City Hall Road, College Road and Gorsedd Gardens Road.

Buses will be diverted out of the central city centre bus stops. Bus displaced from stops within the closure will relocate to either Churchill Way for the East. Greyfriars Road for the North and Tudor Street for the West.

In terms of taxis, St Mary Street taxi rank will be closed from 6.00pm and will re-open from 11.30pm, while Mill Lane Taxi Rank won't be affected and will remain open throughout the day and night.
