Today in bizarre Justin Bieber news (but not more bizarre than that lizard story): The 23-year-old pop star's rider was reportedly leaked, and his list of alleged demands is more than just long and luxurious—it is downright ABSURD.
Twitter claims to have unearthed the document detailing everything that the Biebs needs for the Indian leg of his Purpose World Tour. (He's due to perform in Mumbai on May 10.) That said, nothing about the text indicates its validity. It is also riddled with so many spelling and grammatical errors that you'd think there is no way it could be real. But even if, by the slightest chance, it IS legit (to quote the Biebs himself, "never say never"), then Justin has some, um, interesting taste to say the least.
The alleged rider starts innocently enough: Justin needs transportation for his entourage, a Rolls Royce for himself, security, and hotels. All standard, famous-people stuff. But the specifics are where it starts to get out of control. His hotel room needs to be "adorned with purple carnations," since purple is his favorite color. (Who knew?) He requires culinary experts to create five meals per day that are all to be "renamed after his popular songs." (What?) A special Indian yoga casket filled with essential oils, incense sticks, and yoga books must be waiting in his hotel suite. He also needs a Jacuzzi, a helicopter, a Ping-Pong table, a PlayStation, a licensed female masseuse, 100 hangers, and Dove body wash, just to name a few essentials.
As far as backstage demands go, Justin's dressing room allegedly must be draped entirely with white curtains, and he must have access to eight power outlets and 12 white handkerchiefs. (How random.) For snacks, he specifically requests Swedish Fish, RITZ Bits peanut butter-and-cheese sandwiches, and Haribo cola gummies, among others. The Biebs' out-of-control rider isn't the only news to come out of his forthcoming Mumbai tour stop: Fans reportedly waited in virtual lines, which were thousands of people long, for tickets that apparently cost more than $1,000.
Again though, we wouldn't be surprised if this "rider" of his turned out to be as fake as that lizard story.
