Justin Bieber is a man of many hits, which means there are probably a lot of lyrics whizzing around in his head, but to forget the words to your current number 1 hit live on stage is a fuck up that you really don't want to make.
But he did.
The Biebs had a live performance at 1 OAK in New York this week where he 'performed' the track "Despacito" to a packed crowd, but seemed to be struggling mahoosively with the Spanish lyrics, so he swapped them in for some less-than-savoury alternatives.
Instead of the lyrics, "Nos vamos pegando, poquito a poquito", he blurted out, "Nos vamos pegando, I quit smoking ciggies", because that was the obvious replacement?
For the majority of the song he must have had a flat-out brain-blank and decided that, "blah, blah, blah" was close enough to the OG lyrics. Sure Biebs….
Lucky for us, the whole (rather embarrassing) performance was captured by one audience member and posted on TMZ so now the whole world can enjoy the mayhem.
After this story burst onto the scene, we thought we would do some investigating on the side to find out what the hoot the "Despacito" lyrics actually mean, and the results are pretty hilarious.
For all of you fellow Spanish class slackers, here are some of the best lines from the song translated into English:
And the best of all...
Round of applause from the seal community for that wonderful shout out.
