Never say never, but it doesn't look like Hailee Steinfeld and Justin Bieber are dating after all.
Despite reports that the two pop stars are together, Steinfeld denied the rumors.
"I don't know why people make such a big deal," she said on the SiriusXM Morning Mash Up program Wednesday.
"We're friends. We've been friends for years."
Steinfeld has still been posing for photos with boyfriend Cameron Smoller, who she started dating last year.
The "Most Girls" singer and Bieber have frequently been spotted together — he dated Steinfeld's friend Selena Gomez.
Bieber was also photographed on a FaceTime call with Steinfeld last month, but he looks like he's been left to love himself.
