Authorities in Michigan said on Monday that one man was arrested after he was found in his car fighting with his mother over lyrics to a Justin Bieber song.
A sheriff's deputy was summoned to a highway in Acme Township, Michigan, on Saturday after receiving reports of two people fighting inside a white car, according to the Record-Eagle.
When the deputy arrived, he saw a 21-year-old man from Traverse City and his mother, 41, from Wyoming, Michigan, according to news.com.au.
The two individuals matched the descriptions given to the emergency dispatcher.
"(The man) indicated that a Justin Bieber song came on the radio," county sheriff's Capt.
Randy Fewless said.
"A verbal argument ensued regarding certain lyrics."
The song had come on the radio, prompting an argument while the woman was driving the car.
She then pulled over and climbed into the back seat to warn her son to be more respectful in front of his grandmother, 70, who was in the car along with another girl, 17.
The woman told the sheriffs that her son choked her and then got out of the car.
The son was arrested for alleged domestic assault and sent to the county jail.
Bieber is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose hits include Never Let You Go, Heartbreaker, and All That Matters.
