Does Justin Bieber really love popping pimples, so much so that he embraces acne breakouts? That's the outlandish claim being made in one of this week's new tabloids, but Gossip Cop has the exclusive truth!
The singer experiences acne flareups on occasion, and even once appeared in a commercial for the skincare product Proactiv, but the National Enquirer is now making the absurd claim that Bieber actually enjoys getting zits. A supposed "tipster" tells the magazine the singer "could get a truckload of Proactiv acne treatment for free," but chooses not to because he likes "picking at his pimples just to get reactions from people."
The outlet's dubious source goes on to purport that Bieber's supposed "pimple-popping fetish" extends to other people's skin as well, and he's "always popping zits" on his friends. Despite how ridiculous this story sounds, Gossip Cop still checked in with a trustworthy source close to the singer, who laughed off the tabloid's untrue claim.
Bieber doesn't have a habit of popping pimples, but the Enquirer does have a habit of publishing preposterous reports about the singer. Gossip Cop previously busted the publication's tale about Bieber lecturing girls on the Bible before sex. We also debunked the magazine's claim that Bieber has enough bodyguards at his house to secure a military compound. Those stories were completely absurd, and the same goes for this latest one.
