Bebe Rexha excited about Dubai gig

The talented and sultry Bebe Rexha is on her way to Dubai to perform as part of the lead up to Justin Bieber's concert on May 6. When City Times chatted with the 27-year-old singer-songwriter-producer, whose real name Bleta means honeybee in Albanian (hence the nickname Bebe), she expressed her excitement at returning to the city. "I have visited Dubai before when I opened up for LMFAO but I definitely am excited to visit again! Hopefully I'll do a bit of touring and have some amazing food!"
Bebe admitted to being a 'big fan' of Bieber and his journey from being a YouTube sensation to one of the world's biggest stars, saying, "I think that he's amazing and he's worked extremely hard to be where he is! I love all the music he's put out in the last couple of years."
Even thought she has top songwriting credits including Like a Champion (Selena Gomez) and The Monster (Eminem and Rihanna), Bebe doesn't focus on specific singers while penning lyrics. "I never write keeping particular artists in mind. If it ends up in their hands it ends up in their hands. I just write what feels good and what comes naturally!"
So who would her dream collaboration be with? "Party Next Door, Drake, Kanye West!"

'We have to voice our opinions'

She was born in the USA to immigrant parents. Considering the political turmoil surrounding issues like immigration today, what are her personal thoughts on the subject?
I believe that everyone should be able to be free and really express themselves and I think that it's a tough time right now and we have to voice our opinions. I think it's important to stand up for what you believe in. Music plays an important role in bringing life to that and helping in expression.
