It wasn't the sweet smell of success wafting around the $20 million Australian home Justin Bieber rented last week that has been getting up noses.
The plush pile had to be professionally "de-odorised" to remove the aromas that had been left behind.
With neighbours complaining about Bieber's reported parties, which didn't end until 3am, it would seem it wasn't just noise pollution or screaming school girls marauding around Mosman's posh streets that had been causing problems.
"It smelled like a Nimbin boarding house," one source said this week as the clean-up was underway.

Nimbin is the small town in Australia famous for it's liberal attitude to marijuana.
Apparently a very expensive sofa was damaged during the stay, with Bieber's management coughing up about $30,000 to cover the cost of repairs and clean up. A drop in the ocean next to Bieber's $300 million fortune.
No such complaints came from Bieber's Auckland or Queenstown digs.
The luxury digs were developed by businessman Cameron MacDonald who is currently trying to sell the place.
As for Adele, no such reports have surfaced from her time in the property. She had checked in just before Bieber.
Justin Bieber played one show in Auckland on 18 March.
