STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.-- For most entertainers, having the chance to perform with their idol is a dream come true.
For 9-year-old New Springville native Lorenzo Azzollini, his dream became a reality in Bologna, Italy.
His idol? Justin Bieber.
"It was so awesome," said Azzollini gushing about his recent performance. "It really was a blessing."
Azzollini was scrolling through Instagram when he learned of the #PurposeTourChildren international competition to perform alongside Bieber on stage at his 'Purpose World Tour."
Azzollini says his purpose in life is "to inspire and be inspired." The dancer credits Bieber as an inspiration because of his music, dancing and "cool hair styles.""I'm very proud of him, he works really hard," said Belinda Mendez-Azzollini, Lorenzo's mother. "That's his passion; he loves to dance."
Azzollini has been dancing since he was three years old and had his start at Starstruck Dance Studio on Tottenville. Now, the dancer lives in New Jersey and is working with ICON Dance Complex, which was responsible for the America's Best Dance Crew season six winners ICONic Boyz.
Here's the audition video that gave Azzollini the chance of a lifetime.
