Would you pay $625 to see Justin Bieber take to the stage at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium?

Hordes of Kiwi Beliebers flocked online to secure their tickets to Justin Bieber's Purpose World Tour on Wednesday afternoon, with general release tickets available to the New Zealand public from 2pm on October 12.

The What Do You Mean hit-maker is scheduled to perform at Mt Smart Stadium on March 18, 2017.

Local fans were offered seated tickets that varied in price from $79 for a seat in Mt Smart's Upper East stand to the full V.I.P experience, priced at a whopping $625.

For Bieber fans willing to shell out the big bucks to see the heartthrob perform live, the V.I.P package promised an exclusive spot inside the JB viewing pit - located inside the stage - a premium Bieber merchandise pack, an exclusive commemorate laminate, concierge and cloaking services and early access into the Auckland venue.

"'I'll Show You' VIP Pit Experience tickets can only be collected from the venue on the day of the event. No 'I'll Show You' VIP Pit Experience tickets will be sent out," the Frontier Touring information page read.

The second tier V.I.P package on offer at $525, offered much of the same, however neither package offered a meet and greet or photo opportunity with the Sorry singer.

Excited local fans that did manage to secure tickets to the concert shared their excitement via social media.

"We just got Justin Bieber tickets, I have waited 10 years for this moment," shared one Belieber on Facebook.

"So did anyone actually manage to get tickets to Justin Bieber?! Asking for a friend ..." wrote another.

Bieber has made several promotional visits to New Zealand, coming here in 2012 and 2015 for visits to radio stations and media companies.

The 22-year-old singer hasn't performed here since his 2013 Believe Tour and will be joined at his upcoming Australasian shows by Dutch DJ Martin Garrix.
