Singing a new tune. Sofia Richie took to Snapchat on Tuesday, August 16, to share a video of herself jamming out to rumored beau Justin Bieber's music following the pop star's recent Instagram drama with his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Richie, 17 — the daughter of Lionel Richie and younger sister of Nicole Richie — shared a sped-up clip in which she bops along to "Let Me Love You," the Biebs' new DJ Snake collaboration.
Prior to getting her groove on to JB's latest single, Richie was besieged by hurtful comments after the "Boyfriend" crooner, 22, began posting pictures of himself and the teen model on Instagram. On Sunday, August 14, Bieber threatened to make his page private if his legions of Beliebers didn't stop bad-mouthing Richie.
"I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate this is getting out of hand," he wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of the pair. "If you guys are really fans you wouldn't be so mean to people like that."
The message prompted the Canadian-born superstar's former flame Gomez, 24, to clap back in a pointed comment: "If you can't handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol - it should be special between you two only. Don't be mad at your fans. They love you."
The "Kill Em With Kindness" songstress' message became the catalyst for a heated social media war. Bieber fired back by writing, "It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still trying to point the finger this way. Sad. All love. I'm not one for anyone receiving hate."
Gomez retaliated by accusing him of straying during their romance, which began in 2011 and officially ended in 2014. "Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad," she offered. "Sad. All love."
Bieber reportedly replied with an allegation of his own: that the Spring Breakers actress once cheated on him with One Direction alum Zayn Malik: "I cheated... Oh I forgot about You and Zayn?"
Since then, the "Baby" singer has deactivated his Instagram account entirely. The message on his page now says: "Sorry this page isn't available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed."
Despite his beef with Gomez, Bieber has been enjoying time with Richie. On August 14, she shared photos via Instagram of the duo's recent trip to Japan. In an attempt to keep internet trolls at bay, Richie changed her profile settings so that followers weren't able to comment on the snapshots.
