Selena Gomez is not trying to get back together with Justin Bieber, despite a new tabloid story. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the report. We're told it's "false."
According to the repeatedly disproven In Touch, Gomez "wants to give her love with Justin Bieber another chance." The tabloid then shamefully uses the tragic murder of Christina Grimmie as the supposed reason for Gomez's desire to reconcile with her ex-boyfriend. The magazine quotes a so-called "insider" as claiming Gomez has been "re-evaluating life" since Grimmie's death, and "realized life is short, so she called [Bieber] and told him she loved him."
The publication's same supposed "insider" alleges Bieber told Gomez it was "too late," and explained that he's "quietly seeing Kourtney Kardashian again." "The news was a blow to Selena… who is used to relying on Justin in tough times," claims the tabloid. "Selena was enraged," says its questionable "insider," before adding, "Now, she's incessantly calling, texting, and emailing [Bieber]. She's determined to get him back."
Gossip Cop would like to know if In Touch relied on the same untrustworthy "insider," whose information led to the tabloid publishing a cover story a couple of years ago that ran the inaccurate headline, "Pregnant & Alone." Inside that untrue report, the magazine alleged Gomez wanted to "keep the baby," but Bieber's team "felt it would ruin his career." The publication then horrendously (and conveniently) explained Gomez miscarried Bieber's baby.
But, as Gossip Cop reported at the time, a rep for Gomez confirmed the entire tale was "not true." That concocted story was then followed by another false claim about Bieber and Gomez being secretly recorded doing cocaine. And there were more inaccurate allegations from that same tabloid about the two, including Gomez supposedly finding a naked Kendall Jenner video on Bieber's phone. Of course, not one of those stories was true.
Similarly, the current claim about Gomez trying to get back together with Bieber is bogus. A source close to the situation first tells Gossip Cop it's "disgusting" that In Touch would use Grimmie's death to manufacture a story tying Gomez to Bieber again. Our impeccable source also notes the supposed conversation involving Bieber telling his ex about "quietly seeing" Kardashian never happened. Most importantly, Gossip Cop is assured the tabloid's assertion that Gomez is pursuing Bieber with nonstop calling, texting and emailing is 100 percent "false."
