Justin Bieber Honors Christina Grimmie & Pulse Victims At Orlando Concert — Watch

As Justin Bieber played to a packed arena in Orlando on June 30, he was thinking about those who weren't there. He dedicated his song, 'Purpose,' to the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting and to his late friend, Christina Grimmie. Click to watch.

Christina Grimmie and the 49 victims of the Pulse massacre were close to Justin Bieber's thoughts when he arrived for his concert in Orlando. The 22-year-old singer was still aching over their tragic murders so he decided to honor them with a heartfelt tribute!


As Justin performed his song "Purpose" during his June 30 concert, the names of the 49 victims of the deadly shooting played on the screen behind him. Towards the end of the song, Biebs stood up to watch the remaining names scroll by. Sadly, the 50th and final name belonged to his friend: Christina Grimmie.

What a lovely and heartfelt tribute from Justin to not just his late friend, but those killed in the Orlando nightclub. Christina's death just absolutely devastated Justin. He was in Winnipeg, Canada on the day of her murder. He dedicate that night's performance of "Purpose" to her, but the sheer shock of her murder was too much to handle. Justin broke down in tears, asking, "Grimmie, can you hear me?"

Many of Christina's fans and friends paid tribute to her following her senseless death. Charlie Puth dedicated a performance of "See You Again" to her during a June 11 concert, while Nick Jonas, 23, posted a video where he remembered her as a "kind" and "sweet" person. Since Christina got her start as a YouTube star, VidCon celebrated her life and career with a heartfelt video. However, one of the more emotional tributes game from Christina's friend and former tour mate, Selena Gomez, 23, as the heartbroken singer broke down after dedicating her song, "Faith," to her late friend.

Justin is the latest celebrity to honor the 49 people slaughtered by Omar Mateen inside the Pulse nightclub on June 12. Christina Aguilera, 35, released a new song, "Change," in honor of the victims, and Beyonce, 34, dedicated a performance of "Halo" to those who lost their lives during the shooting. Anderson Cooper, 49, was barely able to hold back tears through his own tribute, saying that the victims "are more than a list of names. They are people who loved and were loved."
