Gone are the days when you had to actually attend the show to get a concert tee. In an unprecedented move, Barneys is blowing past tour merch pop-ups and will sell exclusive Justin Bieber Purpose capsule collection beginning Saturday, July 16th, just two days ahead of The Bieb's shows at Madison Square Garden.
"It was a no brainer for me," Jay Bell, a Barneys senior vice president overseeing the men's designer section, told the New York Times. "It is the first time we've done it, but it felt right. It felt like something that would resonate with our customers, and that could sit seamlessly with the other brands we sell."
The last time Justin Bieber made a tour stop in New York, it coincided with a pop-up shop at VFiles, so this is a bit of an upgrade. The merch will be available at both the Madison Avenue flagship and the new-ish Chelsea store.

Biebs tapped Jerry Lorenzo, the designer behind cool-kid label Fear of God, to create the 31-piece unisex collection for Barneys that includes T-shirts, jerseys, jeans, and even a $1,675 leather jacket.
Let's see if the department store sells $1 million dollars worth of merch in two days out of this.
