Justin Bieber sued for $650K damages after pulling out of Montreal nightclub appearance

It's not been a good day for Justin Bieber . After he was banned from Argentina, it's now been reported that the star is getting sued by a Montreal promotional company after the singer pulled out of a club appearance last August.

Team Productions claim they had a deal with Justin to do an appearance at Beach Club last August in the Canadian city, where he was meant to hang out with fans and perform a few songs, TMZ have reported.

But things got frosty between the two parties when they felt Justin wasn't promoting the night enough on social media.

This was reportedly part of the deal and after negotiations broke down, Justin tweeted on the morning of his scheduled appearance that he wouldn't be going.

The message read: "Montreal due to the promoter of today's event breaking his contract and lying I will not be able to attend today's event. I'm sorry"

He continued in a further tweet: "I look forward to coming back to Montreal in the future to do a proper show but I will not be able to attend 2day due to this breach. Thanks" (sic)

Team Productions are claiming the tweet branded them a liar and as a result of the public bashing they've lost work.

The company is suing the star for a reported $605K in damages.

Earlier today Justin revealed the bad news to his Argentinian fans - he's been banned from the country by their government.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, the Love Yourself star revealed he wasn't able to perform in the country as part of his Purpose tour.

"Argentinian beliebers I would like nothing more than to bring the #purposetour there but the Argentinian government won't allow it. So sorry," he wrote, in a now-deleted tweet.

"If things were to change I would love to come but at this time I cannot. For everyone else in South America I look forward to seeing you," he contined.

"Argentina I do love you. It is in fact one of my favorite places to tour. I wish this was not the case. My lawyers say it is what it is.

The Canadian – who's currently in the middle of his worldwide Purpose tour – also shared a gif from his hit single Sorry as a way of apologising to any fans he had let down.

In 2013, the star caused outrage after a video emerged of him sweeping the Argentinian national flag off stage with his foot mid-concert.

Following the controversy, the Biebs was forced to issue a lengthy apology on Twitter , in which he explained he thought it was a shirt.

"I'm sorry if that was taken the wrong way and I'm sorry for my mistake. I hope you can accept this.. and I loved my time there performing for you and look forward to coming back," he wrote at the time.

But it seems relations haven't thawed in the few years since.
