Justin Bieber Is Only 'Mad' About Selena Gomez & Orlando Bloom In Fan Fic Land

Justin Bieber is not "mad" or "fuming" over Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom "hooking up." And the reasons are simple: First, Gomez and Bloom did not "hook up." Second, Bieber and Gomez do not appear to be interested in each other and haven't been a couple for two years.

Try telling that to Hollywood Life. The disgraced gossip blog is currently peddling a made-up story, claiming Bieber is beside himself over Gomez and Bloom's recent cozy-looking snaps in Las Vegas at her Revival Tour after-party.

However, this claim is false. Gossip Cop reports a source close to Bieber told the outlet that Hollywood Life's story is "not true." The insider also said the singer does not think Gomez and Bloom are hooking up.

To give readers a clue about Hollywood Life, the notorious gossip blog previously topped Gossip Cop's Worst Outlet for Celebrity Journalism list back in 2014. In addition, Gomez slammed the blog on two previous occasions as "the worst" and "never true." Bieber has also called out the site for publishing fabricated stories.

While providing no evidence for its claims, other than the old "a source says" routine, Hollywood Life insisted Bieber is supposedly angry about the Bloom-Gomez photos in related stories, all selling the same fake narrative.

The blog claims the Biebs is "certain there's something going on" between his former girlfriend and Bloom and is "fuming." A so-called "insider" is quoted as saying, "Justin knows that there is some type of history between Selena and Orlando and it drives him mad." The same imaginary source adds, "[Bieber] is convinced that they hooked up again in Vegas."

Sadly for Hollywood Life, Bloom's partner, Katy Perry, and Gomez addressed the speculation directly on Twitter, which only makes the blog's newest claim more ridiculous.

Last week, Perry tweeted, "Instead of giving energy & eyeballs to dumb conspiracy… check out how C[oo]L this is," then linked to a Time article on an educational initiative Bloom supports. Perry added, "#dontfeedthebeast."

Selena Gomez immediately retweeted (thus co-signing) Perry's tweet and added some emoji praise hands. How about that for publicists' synergy?

Then, over the weekend, Bloom and Perry were snapped looking loved-up aboard a mega-yacht in Cannes on the French Riviera.

As for Gomez and Bieber, the ghost of Jelena was seemingly definitively exorcized by the actress-singer debuting a not-at-all disguised jab at her ex in the shape of a new song "Feel Me" during her first Revival Tour concert in Las Vegas. The following night, the Latina turned that brand message up a notch by melodramatically crumpling up a fan's sign which read "Marry Justin Please."

Staged? Very probably. Either way, Gomez's point was emphatically made. She and Bieber will not be getting back together anytime soon, if ever.

Meanwhile, whatever Bieber was crying over during his Purpose Tour show in Philadelphia two weeks ago may or may not have been a reaction to Gomez's public displays of non-beliebing, but his tears weren't over his ex and Bloom hooking up. Because. That. Never. Happened.

Gossip can be fun. Gossip can be addictive. Gossip can be scandalous. Gossip can also be whatever fan fic a media outlet dreams up to reel in website clicks. As ever, the Inquisitr advises readers to consider the quality of a source.
