'Here we go again' as Drake and Mamma Mia! stay top of the charts

Drake and the official soundtrack of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again have maintained their places on top of the UK singles and albums charts for another week.

Canadian rapper Drake, real name Aubrey Drake Graham, has clocked up his third consecutive week in the top spot with his track In My Feelings.

Drake released an eight-minute video to accompany In My Feelings on Thursday. The video features celebrities attempting the viral video dance challenge that the song has become associated with.

Among the famous faces to appear in the credits of the promotional clip are actor Will Smith and some of the stars of Netflix shows Queer Eye and Stranger Things.

The song amassed a combined total of 83,000 units across downloads, audio streams and video plays, according to the Official Charts Company.

Its closest rival was singer-songwriter George Ezra's former chart-topper Shotgun which spends its fourth week in a row at number two.

DJ Jonas Blue's collaboration with pop duo Jack and Jack called Rise stays at three ahead of the singles chart's highest new entry from DJ Khaled.

US record producer Khaled's new track No Brainer features singer Justin Bieber and Chance The Rapper. It marks the 14th time that Bieber has appeared in the top five of the UK's singles chart.

On the albums chart Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again triumphed over The Greatest Showman in the battle of the soundtracks to secure a second week at number one.

The record, which features the film's cast including Cher, Pierce Brosnan and Lily James taking on some of Abba's best-known hits, out-sold its rival by 15,000 units across physical, digital and streaming equivalent sales.

The soundtrack to its prequel Mamma Mia! stays at five while Abba's Gold compilation rises one place to number six.

Drake and Ezra also feature in the top five of the albums chart with their respective releases Scorpion and Staying At Tamara's.

The highest new entry on the albums chart went to US rock band Halestorm. Their fourth album Vicious is in at eight.

Girl band All Saints are new at 15 with Testament while Arctic Monkeys' Tranquility Base Hotel And Casino, recently shortlisted for the Mercury Prize,  climbed eight places up the chart to number 27.
