Heading to a gig? Here are five ways to make heads turn

The gig culture in India, especially Mumbai, is growing by leaps and bounds. From Coldplay and Justin Bieber to Jay-Z and Ed Sheeran, almost all the big names in the international music circuit have toured this glamourous city. Under such circumstances, one must up their glam quotient by donning these garments to look like a diva before hitting the gig of their favourite artiste.
An all-black ensemble is a popular go-to look

Black-on-black is an all-time favourite with fashion lovers and a complete hit with gig goers, too. Ditch the usual black pants with black top look and try mid-length to long, flowy dresses. To add a dash of glamour, pair it with chunky earrings, a leather jacket and ankle length boots. It is a tried-and-tested gigs' look that you can never go wrong with (unless you are trying too hard, of course).

If you are a free-spirited, Bohemian soul, who likes her concert attire to be a reflection of her persona, then you must try the quirky dress-meets-denim jacket look. Wear a vibrant and funky short to mid length graphic dress and throw in a well-fitted (or even baggy) denim jacket to add that element of coolness to your look. If a dress is not what you'd go for, opt for a denim-on-denim look where you can team shorts with an oversized denim jacket. As far as footwear is concerned, wear a glossy pair of black oxfords and accentuate your eyes with winged eyeliner, while keeping the rest of your make-up minimal. You can thank us later.

Nothing looks hotter than a confident girl walking in to a gig in her monotone (and hopefully neon) sportswear, untamed hair and metallic kohl. Ideally, one should opt for a racerback sports bra, body-hugging tank top and choose either between a tennis skirt and cycling shorts. To do justice to the overall look, team it up with a pair of gorgeous sneakers or even sports shoes. In terms of make-up, one could go with metallic eyeliner, two to three coats of mascara and nude lips.

If you want to stand out from the rest of the crowd and make a lasting impression, opt for a jacket and pair it up with cowboy or biker boots and a fedora. Alternatively, you could also match the fedora with a pair of fancy slip-ons. A simple tee on the inside is all you need to draw attention to your edgy look. From loose waves to poker straight hair, almost any hairdo will go well with this style. And if you want to floor everyone with your looks, do not forget to wear your brightest lipstick (think: red) and keep your eye make-up minimal and cheekbones highlighted.

Are you the kind of girl who likes to go to gigs, have fun there and not worry too much about how glamourous she looks? Then a simple yet chic skirt or denim shorts, along with a simple tee, is perfect for you. And, if you want to add a little bit of drama to your ensemble, wear lots of chains, rings or even bindis and go for basic face art. Don't forget to wear uber stylish sandals or slip-ons. The perfect accessory to complete the look will be a multi-coloured headscarf or bandana and a king size bag that you could practically carry your world around in.
