RADIO singing contest Fly FM Flydol: Sing It To Win It said goodbye to the second of its six finalists, Erul last Thursday, leaving Flydols Melissa, Hashmitha, Ronnie and Helmie to continue their superstar quest.
Erul was eliminated in the first round of voting, which began at 10am last Monday after their songs were premiered by announcers Hafiz and Guibo and closed at 6pm last Friday.
In the intense competition, Erul covered Justin Bieber's Sorry and Melissa covered Shawn Mendes' Mercy, while Ronnie covered another Mendes song There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back.
Hashmitha and Helmie covered Say You Won't Let Go by James Arthur and Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are respectively.
Listeners determined 60 per cent of their marks while the remainder was in the hands of the judges who comprised Fly FM's head of programming Shiva Ruppeni, Fly FM music director Navin Rishal, AIM winner and vocal coach Vince Chong and Paperplane Pursuit lead singer John O.
The journey of Melissa, Hashmitha, Ronnie and Helmie continues as they cover new songs this week.
The third song cover of the finalists has just been uploaded on Fly FM's website as well as Fly FM's social media platforms. Listeners can vote for their favourite finalists from 10am today until 6pm on Friday.
Fly FM Flydol: Sing It To Win It aims to be a platform for aspiring musicians to develop their stagecraft and vocal abilities. The winner will walk away with RM10,000 and his or her first single will be produced by John.
