Justin Bieber is not "struggling" with his break from Selena Gomez, contrary to a new claim. Not only was this story provably made-up, but the article actually contradicts the headline. Gossip Cop can explain what's going on.
As we've repeatedly pointed out, HollywoodLife is intent on exploiting the dynamic between Bieber and Gomez, whether they're actively dating or not. Last month, the site wrongly alleged that despite credible reports that the stars were on a break, they were actually "still together" and just meeting up in "secret." The contention was so untrue that the blog reversed course days later, changing its storyline to claim Bieber was being "driven crazy" over his "time apart" from Gomez. The inconsistency demonstrated that HollywoodLies, as it's nicknamed, had no real insight into what was or wasn't going on.
Now the website is announcing in a headline, "Justin Bieber Struggling With Break From Selena Gomez." Yet the accompanying story purports to have "exclusive details" on how he's "focused on a positive path" and actually doing well. A so-called "source close to the 24-year-old" is quoted as saying Bieber has been "working on himself," and contends he is focused on "going to bed early, waking up early, exercising daily, hiking, spending time with family and writing a ton of new music." Adds this alleged tipster, "As long as he is staying busy and productive, he is really happy."
But the headline specifically claims Bieber is "struggling." And it was only two and a half weeks ago that the outlet maintained he was going "crazy." Again, these inconsistences are evidence that the online publication doesn't actually have inside knowledge. In fact, one doesn't need a "source" to see that Bieber is on a "positive path" that includes "exercising" and "spending time with family." Bieber has regularly been spotted at SoulCycle lately, and in addition to going on a family trip in February, Bieber took his little brother to SkyZone just this week.
These aren't "exclusive details." It's readily available information that anyone can find on the Internet. The site isn't even offering unique insight when its "source" asserts Bieber still "really loves" Gomez a lot. Three days before this phony "exclusive" was published, People reported that Bieber not only "loves" Gomez, but also "misses" her and "wants her back." So HollywoodLies has virtually nothing original in its report. And when it does present claims that no reliable outlets have been reported, they are typically proven to be false, such as the aforementioned allegation about the performers secretly still being together.
While it should be abundantly evident now that this latest story was made-up, just like the ones that came before it, Gossip Cop would be remiss not to remind everyone that Bieber has tried to have HollywoodLife shut down. He has openly despised the site, so it makes little sense to purport that a "source close" to him is really giving the blog dish. Of course, Gossip Cop has been told on background by Bieber's camp that no one actually does.
Even if Bieber were to be "struggling" privately, we've been assured no one would share such information with HollywoodLies. But considering its headline doesn't even match its article, and that fans themselves can see Bieber is doing well, it's obvious this is another example of the website manufacturing a bogus story about his on-and-off relationship with Gomez for clicks.
