Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are not "talking babies," despite a new report. This untrue claim comes from the same tabloid that twice last year falsely alleged Gomez was pregnant. This latest story is just as phony, and Gossip Cop can bust it.
According to Life & Style, the couple has "baby fever." It's alleged their desire for children stems from Bieber and Gomez's time at his father's wedding in Jamaica. Following the nuptials, the family, which includes Bieber's young siblings, revealed his dad's new bride is expecting. Now a so-called "source" is quoted by the gossip magazine as saying, "Justin and Selena are talking babies now."
"They spent a lot of their time at the wedding playing with all the kids," claims the supposed snitch, "and they both think it's the perfect time to take their relationship to the next level." The outlet even alleges Gomez was "impressed by what she saw from her man" during the gathering. The purported tipster then goes on to assert what fans have already known for years: She "adores kids," and Bieber is a "total natural with children."
There's even an ongoing Twitter thread that documents Bieber's interactions with kids. Of course, his fondness for little ones, nor hers, doesn't mean they're making imminent plans to have babies of their own. With both performers working on new music, neither is at the point where they want to put their careers on hold to have children in the immediate future, Gossip Cop has learned. A dream and a hope for down the road is far different than having parenthood fast approaching on the horizon.
Furthermore, the publication has virtually no credibility when it comes to this topic, or really the couple in general. This is a tabloid that claimed Gomez was a "pregnant bride" with The Weeknd's baby in February 2017, and then alleged she was a "pregnant bride" with Bieber's baby in November. Notably, neither of those two supposed pregnancies are mentioned in this latest tale.
In addition, it was just over a month ago that the magazine insisted Bieber and Gomez were headed for a split. Yet in this new piece, the aforementioned "source" maintains, "Selena and Justin are in a great place right now." What changed in a matter of weeks? The outlet never says, probably because it doesn't seem to care about consistency or accuracy. Gossip Cop, however, does, and we've rightly continually reported that Gomez and Bieber do not have immediate plans for kids. That's still the case.
