Parris Goebel is "spitting on" Woman's Day after the internationally famous Kiwi took umbrage at how the magazine depicted her.

The choreographer, dancer, singer, director and actress posted on Instagram on Sunday, lashing the publication for its "insensitive, sad way to portray a painful part of my life to try and sell your magazine!".

Goebel turned on the magazine after spotting the previewed March 19 cover on Woman's Day's own Instagram page.

Parris Goebel shot to international fame in 2015 when she choreographed Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' video.

"I have never felt so EXPLOITED in my career. I am so disgusted and disappointed," Goebel posted. It has so far attracted more than 14,000 likes from her army of followers.

Goebel, who said she had "no say" in what will be printed next week, said she approached Woman's Day to "celebrate" the launch of her autobiography, Young Queen.

The cover of the magazine read: "Suicidal to Superstar ... Parris Goebel's shocking confessions."

"Wow, how insensitive and what a sad way to portray a painful part of my life to try and sell your magazine!" Goebel wrote.

"I came to you guys to celebrate the release of my book but you have done the complete opposite.

"[Parris Goebel] is such a superstar, we're huge fans and she's the last person we'd want to offend," Woman's Day editor Sido Kitchin says.

"You shouldn't be called Woman's Day as you clearly don't care about us and how sensitive us woman are.

"I hope none of my followers or fellow high profile NZ friends support, feature or buy this magazine.

"Spitting on this mag as we speak," Goebel ranted.

"P.S at least I look hot," the 26-year-old sounded-off.

Woman's Day editor Sido Kitchin said she was "dismayed" by Goebel's post and the magazine's "sorry" about the "unintentional upset" caused.

"She's such a superstar, we're huge fans and she's the last person we'd want to offend."

The magazine was "thrilled" when Goebel's wanted to do the story in connection with her new book, Kitchin said.

"Parris was very open and honest in the book and with our journalist about her struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts as a teenager."

It was hoped Goebel's honesty sharing her story through the magazine could "start a much-needed conversation" around mental health, Kitchin said.

Kitchin hasn't heard from Goebel or her representatives yet.

Stuff has approached Goebel's representatives for comment.

GOEBEL FANS UPSET TOO

Several Goebel fans piled-in on the magazine on its Instagram feed.

One fan said, "Heartless magazine. [Parris] is also in the cover. No mention of her as well? Or your disgraceful headline of a disgraceful story?? No??"

"[Goebel's] past is dark and she has openly said that she has no issue speaking about it but is wrong for you to portray it in this way," another Goebel supporter said.

"By the way she's wrote a book and is a inspiration to women AND men across the globe . . . Truly disgusting."

"How dare y'all do [Parris] like that. Seriously? Anything for a buck right?" another said.
