Humanity lost its way, once again, when a teen gunman opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, claiming 17 lives.

What followed was a call for a march by the survivors of the mass shooting, called March For Our Lives, to demand action on gun control.

The march is expected to be held on March 24, at Washington DC.

''On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today,'' reads the official website.

The movement turned out to be quite effective in engaging people across borders, besides garnering the support of a lot of celebrities, including Justin Bieber.

Recently, the Canadian singer took to social media to encourage his fans to sign a petition in support of the movement.

''Help these kids and sign their petition now,'' read Bieber's post.

The March For Our Lives petition aims at motivating elected officials to ban the sale of assault weapons, prohibit the sale of high-capacity magazines and investigate loopholes in background checks that allow "dangerous people who shouldn't be allowed to purchase firearms to slip through the cracks,'' as mentioned by Billboard in an article.
