DJ Snake Promises More “Weird Club Music” On The Way

DJ Snake is at the point in his career where he can do anything. For a while, that has meant putting out songs like "Magenta Riddim" and "A Different Way." Now, he wants to get back into making that "weird club music," and we're stoked about it.

On top of his game, hot off an Ultra Miami set, and having just freshly announced his new record label Premiere Classe, it's safe to say we'll be hearing plenty more from DJ Snake soon. And we're excited to hear some weird, quality originals from the superstar producer!

Mega-hits from early on in Snake's career, like "Turn Down for What" with Lil Jon and "Get Low" with Dillon Francis, have shaped what we've come to expect of his sound. "Lean On" with Major Lazer featuring went on to be one of the most played songs ever. He certainly chanced things up by releasing tracks like "Middle" and "Let Me Love You" with Justin Bieber. Most recently, "A Different Way" shows off a softer side of the club DJ.

Probably the first indicator that DJ Snake is back at making "weird club music" came with the release of "Magenta Riddim." The single is currently making waves and will undoubtedly go down as one of the most authentic "DJ Snake" records he has released.

Perhaps Premiere Classe will be the perfect platform for DJ Snake to release his own music whenever he wants. In a statement, DJ Snake expresses what the new imprint is all about: This record label is for people across all corners of the world, to showcase all genres of music. I grew up influenced by different cultures, sounds, feelings, emotions and I want 'Premiere Classe' to be a representation of that.

Check out the tweets below. He even hints at the possibility of a Katy Perry collaboration. As long as they go for "weird" and not mainstream, that could really be something!
