All About Justin Bieber: Story About Selena Gomez Planning Romantic Surprise For Justin Bieber's Birthday Is Made-Up

Selena Gomez is planning a "romantic" surprise for Justin Bieber's birthday, reports HollywoodLife, the same site that wrongly guessed the couple was spending Thanksgiving together, celebrating Christmas with one another, and ringing in the New Year in New York. While there's a good chance Gomez is going to do something special for her boyfriend on his 24th birthday on March 1, there's an even greater chance that HollywoodLies, as it's known, is taking yet another stab in the dark. Regardless, Gossip Cop is told that no one in either of their camps is leaking personal information to the often inaccurate website.

In its latest tale, the outlet speculates, "Perhaps she'll get him some clothes" for his birthday or "perhaps she'll give him a key to her apartment." Of course, if the website had actual insiders it wouldn't have to guess. To use the blog's favorite qualifier, perhaps they've once again fabricated another phony story simply because it's Bieber's birthday later this week.

HollywoodLies also claims Gomez is working on a surprise party for him and even reached out to his manager Scooter Braun to help "put together" the bash. Gossip Cop has also reached out to Braun, who has yet to confirm the website's story. Glaringly, while the blog maintains that it has the scoop on Bieber's party, it actually offers no details about it. For instance, is Gomez throwing it at a club or at Bieber's house or even at her own place? Will it be on his actual birthday or right before or after?

Not surprisingly, HollywoodLies has no answers for any of that. In fact, the habitually discredited website actually tips its cards that it's once again clueless when it writes, "It'll be interesting to see what Selena has planned." Even the blog's too-often-tricked readers are expressing their doubts. One commenter called the story "fake," while a second expressed, "I don't believe she would leak something that's suppose[d] to be a surprise."

To be sure, as Gossip Cop noted above, there are many reasons not to believe HollywoodLies. On November 21, the outlet maintained Gomez was excited for "Bieber to spend Thanksgiving with her so she can cook for him." That was followed with yet another untrue report about how the "timing was not right for them to share Thanksgiving together," but she was "hoping that Christmas with Justin will happen."

As Gossip Cop exclusively reported, Gomez had known from the start that her family wanted the holidays to be Bieber-free. And sure enough, Bieber did not join Gomez for Thanksgiving in Texas, nor what he with her for Christmas. Undeterred, HollywoodLies followed up those two wrong reports with yet another titled, "Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez Planning To Spend New Year's Eve In New York." As widely reported, Gomez and Bieber celebrated New Year's together in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

So, will Gomez throw Bieber a surprise party? There's a chance, but no Gomez confidante is telling that to the repeatedly disproven website. But if she does, it will indeed be a surprise, mostly perhaps to the guess club at HollywoodLife.
