A story about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez considering themselves "soulmates" was made-up. While the couple is currently very happy together, no one spoke about their relationship with this particular website. Gossip Cop can bust the phony story.
The manufactured article comes from HollywoodLife, a site that both Bieber and Gomez have publicly slammed. He has called the blog "garbage" and petitioned to have it shut down. She has deemed it the "worst." Suffice it to say, neither is a fan of the outlet and those close to them know that. As such, no one in their inner circle goes blabbing to the online publication about their romance or anything else really.
Yet HollywoodLies, as it's nicknamed, wants readers to believe it has "EXCLUSIVE details on how" the stars see themselves as "'soulmates' with rekindled love." In a poorly-constructed statement, a so-called "source close to the Biebs" is quoted as saying, "Justin and Selena continue to talk that they are each others soulmates." This alleged tipster goes on to offer two observations that virtually everyone knows: "They share so much history" and "They share religion."
It is common knowledge that Bieber and Gomez have had an on-and-off relationship for roughly eight years, so obviously they have "so much history." It is also well-known that they frequently go to church together, so obviously they "share religion." These aren't particularly insightful comments from somebody that is supposedly "close to the Biebs."
And after offering those unmissable conclusions, the website's purported snitch further raises suspicion by actually alleging something far-fetched: "They share an understanding that this time together will be forever… They will be together through it all." Bieber and Gomez are not stupid. They know "forever" isn't the most realistic notion, particularly for people in their industries. While they are hopeful for their future, they're not deluding themselves with fantasy.
That's what HollywoodLies seems to do. In fact, this tale reminds us of a made-up story the site peddled in December. In that bogus "exclusive," the blog claimed Gomez was calling Bieber her "husband" and "hubby." No reputable outlet reported anything similar because the allegation was wholly fabricated by the publication. It was a fake news story, much like this latest one is, too.
Bieber and Gomez spent Valentine's Day together, a sign that that their revived relationship is going strong. But Gossip Cop is assured no one in their camps fed HollywoodLies any information about them being "soulmates." And by the way, the couple spent the holiday in Los Angeles, contrary to another made-up report from the blog in which it was claimed they planned to go on vacation. Clearly the site's "sources" don't have much inside knowledge at all.
