Justin Bieber's mother praises son for his 'character and integrity'

Unfortunately, she didn't manage to get through to her daughter. Selena Gomez, however, was not on the trip. She added that the singer has her own choices in life.

Gomez is the just latest in a long line of actresses coming under fire for having worked with the disgraced director, from Rebecca Hall to Greta Gerwig (both of whom, it must be noted, have apologized publicly).

Selena's co-star in the film, Timothée Chalamet, recently announced that he does not wish to profit from the director's movie, and will donate his salary back to charity. She also said that people around Gomez were lying to the press and to her before addressing her comments about Gomez's working relationship with Allen.

But she clarified that she does not stop Selena from doing what she wants. I get attacked for controlling her and then get told to control her.

"This year has changed the way I see and feel about so many things; it has been a thrilling and, at times, enlightening education", Chalamet wrote. The mother and daughter previously fell out over the resurgence of Gomez's relationship with Justin Bieber, which she allegedly does not approve of.

Time's Up was started by several Hollywood stars, agents, writers, directors, producers and entertainment executives - including the likes of Natalie Portman and Emma Stone - on New Year's Day, to make a stand against sexual harassment in the entertainment industry and businesses.

It was not the first time accusations of this kind made headlines but it was the first time Farrow had spoken out about her alleged abuse. Allen has always denied the allegations, but between the molestation claims and his marriage to his adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn in 1997, many still think he's guilty.

Noting the Weinstein allegations surfaced while she was already on set, Gomez said they made her think about how the universe works in odd ways, giving no further insight into her decision-making process.

In December, Billboard named Gomez its woman of the year, and she responded by saying, "I hope that this moment can encourage all women that they know it's safe to say what you want to say and what you need to say, and there's such freedom in that". Certain followers called her out for being hypocritical in light of her support for Allen.
