Looks like there's gonna be one less (lonely) celebrity at the Grammys this year — and by one less lonely celebrity, we mean Justin Bieber. Mainly because that's one of his past hits and the fact that he isn't planning on showing up to the Grammys this weekend. Sorry, Beliebers.
So, you know, in case you had plans to watch the music awards show with your best group of friends all while waiting for the Biebs to show up on the red carpet and take your breath away, well, maybe it's time for a change of plans. According to TMZ/em>, despite having one of the most popular songs of 2017 and being up for MULTIPLE awards because of it, Justin has decided to skip the Grammys all together this year.
The report went on to reveal that the "Cold Water" singer also passed on performing "Despacito" at the awards show with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. However, it's not because Justin has something against the Grammys or his musical peers — JB has nothing but love for Luis and Daddy Yankee! In fact, Justin has actually made a promise to himself to not attend any other awards show.
The reason for all of this? Well, the same report let the cat out of the bag by telling TMZ that the awards-show-skipping behavior is simply because Justin doesn't want to make any public appearances until he finishes his next album. Yeah, you read that correctly people and you can safely assume that JB is currently working on another album! Get excited!
To be honest, it makes total sense that the "Friends" singer wants to avoid public events. What's the point of going on red carpets and talk shows if you have nothing important to talk about, right? We see what you're doing there Justin. Anyway, hopefully this upcoming album of his comes out soon because we all need new music from Justin, STAT.
