Ariana Grande's European tour status; fans beg Justin Bieber's concert to be cancelled

Ariana Grande reportedly opted to suspend her "Dangerous Woman" tour in the wake of a fatal attack that claimed the lives of 22 people at her concert in Manchester on Monday. There are reports that the pop star and her team are focused on the victims at the moment.

TMZ reported Grande will be suspending her European tour. Originally, she was scheduled to perform in London on Thursday then in Belgium, Poland, Germany and Switzerland.

However, on Tuesday afternoon AP reported her tour has not been cancelled or postponed. It remains unclear though if Grande's show at the O2 Arena in London is still on. The venue's official Twitter account said it will advise the public about the status of Grande's Thursday and Friday shows as soon as it can.

Meanwhile, fans are pleading to Grande's manager Scooter Braun to cancel Justin Bieber's forthcoming tour in the UK. The singer is slated to perform in Cardiff, Wales on June 30 before his show at Hyde Park in London on July.

"Next month Justin has a show scheduled in the UK, for security reasons this has to be cancelled @scooterbraun I beg you!!" a Twitter user wrote. Braun is yet to comment about his other famous client's scheduled gigs. Another social media user pointed Bieber's show must be cancelled for the safety of Bieber and his fans.

Grande took to Twitter to express how she feels about Monday's incident.  "Broken. From the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry," she wrote.

Some entertainers have cancelled or postponed their scheduled gigs to in respect for the victims of the attack at Grande's concert. Prime Live Event with Blondie has been cancelled as announced via Amazon's Prime Live Events' Twitter account.

Imminent attack

Prime Minister Theresa May declared Britain's threat level from terrorism is raised from severe to critical, the Associated Press reported. This means attack can be imminent.

The prime minister suspected that Salman Abadi, the suicide bomber at Grande's concert, was possibly part of a bigger network. May said armed soldiers may be deployed instead of police at public events.

Former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan urged countries to stand together against "the extremists and terrorists" behind the Manchester attack and similar senseless violence elsewhere. Annan told AP on Tuesday that the world has to work together and share information to deny extremists "their opportunities." The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for Monday night's attack.

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee Talk Working With Justin Bieber on 'Despacito' & Who They Want on ...

Playing Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee Talk Working With Justin Bieber on 'Despacito' & Who They Want on Their Next Remix!

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee are killing the music game at the moment. The Puerto Rican duo currently have the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with their hit single, "Despacito," featuring Justin Bieber.

ET's Denny Directo was at The Voice finale on Tuesday, where he spoke with the singers about their chart-topping smash and how their collaboration with Bieber came about.

"It was a great call to know that Bieber heard the song," Fonsi shared. "He was in Colombia doing his tour and he heard the song. He saw how people reacted to it. He reached out to us and he's like, 'Hey, can I jump on the remix?' and we're like, 'Yes, sir!'"

"He did his thing, you know, he sang his verse in English [and then] he sang the chorus in Spanish," Fonsi continued. "We were surprised."

"That was awesome!" Daddy Yankee added. "Nobody was expecting that, right? Like, he's singing in Spanish! I think that makes the remix even better."

Staying true to the original, Fonsi shared that Bieber wanted to sing in Spanish and "took the time to enunciate everything."

"We had an English lyric for everything and he's like, 'No, no, no, no, I'm gonna do this in Spanish,'" Fonsi explained. "He took the time to enunciate everything and to do it the right way. So, I think it's a big win for Latin music and it's awesome to have such a huge global star collaborate with us."

As for Bieber's future in Latin music? Fonsi thinks he can picture JB singing salsa, "He can do it," he said, laughing. "He's a talented kid."

"We respect him a lot," added Yankee.

Now that "Despacito" has topped the Billboard chart for a second week in a row, the duo is ready for another collaboration – this time with a female artist.

"Maybe Rihanna?" Fonsi replied when asked to name his dream feature.

"Rihanna. Man, she's the best," Yankee chimed in. "Beyonce, you know, [she's] talented!"

The talented trio absolutely killed their performance with ALL of the ladies in the crowd screaming. Mark gave us total Justin Bieber vibes with his swoon-worthy vocals. Mark was the underdog of Season 12, stealing Adam Levine's heart since his incredible blind audition with Duffy's "Mercy." Mark was saved by Adam in the "Live Playoffs" and then America's voters saved him twice after landing in the bottom, two weeks in a row. However, Mark didn't make it further than the top 10 and was voted off The Voice on May 9 after taking on Justin Bieber's "Sorry." Now, Mark is back and reminding us of his incredible energy and pop vocals.

Other Season 12 favorites came back for The Voice's finale, including TSoul and Vanessa Ferguson, who both performed alongside Gladys Knight, and Brennley Brown who sang "It's Yours If You Want It" with Rascal Flatts. The top 4, one of whom will be crowned The Voice Season 12's winner, include Lauren Duski (Team Blake), Aliyah Moulden (Team Blake), Jesse Larson (Team Adam) and Chris Blue (Team Alicia). Season 13 coach Miley Cyrus also surprised the crowd with her latest hit "Malibu" and got us all pumped for the fall, while Zedd and Alessia Cara had everyone dancing to their top-charter, "Stay." The incredible performances just didn't stop! Chris Stapleton also stopped by to sing his new song "Either Way" and on the feels.

Paul McCartney closes out day of mourning in the UK with tribute tweets

24th May 17 | Entertainment News

Paul McCartney has offered up tributes to actor Roger Moore and the victims of Monday night's bombing in Manchester, England as a day of mourning in the U.K. comes to an end.

The former Beatles star took to Twitter on Tuesday (23May17) to share his thoughts about the tragedy at the Ariana Grande gig and the passing of James Bond icon Moore.

The actor starred in the 1973 007 film Live & Let Die, which featured a McCartney-penned theme, and the rocker remembered the veteran as "a great man" and "a great James Bond", adding, "I was lucky to work with (him) during the time of Live and Let Die. He had a heart of gold, a great sense of humour and will be missed by the many people who loved him."

His tweet tribute to the actor, who lost his battle with cancer at the age of 89, came shortly after Paul shared his thoughts about the terror attack at the Manchester Arena on Monday night, which claimed the lives of 22 music fans.

"Like everyone else, my family and I were shocked to hear about the terrible news from Manchester," he wrote. "All that's left to do is send heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims and Ariana Grande. Praying that something like this never happens again. Love to everyone."

Meanwhile, fans of Justin Bieber are urging the pop star to rethink his upcoming British tour in the wake of the tragedy.

The 23-year-old is scheduled to headline an open air concert at London's Hyde Park in July (17), but fans feel the gig should be cancelled.

One fan wrote directly to Scooter Braun, who manages both Ariana and Justin, on Instagram, stating: "Cancel Justin's concert in the UK, please! We want him to be safe, please."

Other fans took to social media revealing they were contemplating selling tickets for Bieber's summer shows in the U.K. and Ireland.
