Things were looking promising for Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber after his mom, Pattie Malette, recently gushed over his old/new lady love, but it looks like JB still has some winning over to do…
We all know Jelena's been spending a lot of time together and are pretty much stronger than ever before. The two have been spotted out in public together attending church, dinner and were even seen smooching at Justin's hockey game. Naturally, Jelena shippers around the world have been overly ecstatic to see these two give it another shot, including Justin's mom and dad.
According to multiple reports, Pattie & Jeremy Bieber totally approve of the "Wolves" singer (because duh, who wouldn't approve of Selena Gomez dating their son?). The reports said, "His parents love Selena. They want him to date someone and think she is very sweet and a good girl."
The same report then went on to add, "They think that being back together with Selena is a positive thing. He wants to do things differently and make it right and show everyone how far he has come."
It's safe to say all seems right in the world for these two, and they''ll undoubtedly be spending the holidays together, right? WRONG. Although Justin's parents are on board, Sel's parents still seem to be getting comfortable with the idea of the pair getting back together.
"Justin's family always loved Selena, but Selena's family is still not happy about her seeing Justin," People boasts. "Selena doesn't bring Justin to any family events. Selena is spending Christmas with her family. As of now, Justin is not invited."
It's only natural for Selena's family to be cautious of their rekindled relationship after so many attempts, but as we're all aware by now, ~the heart wants what it wants~.
